Sachin Agarwal // I love good food, good drinks, fast cars, photography and New York City. I've been an Apple fanboy my entire life and worked on Final Cut Pro for 6 years.
I’m a cofounder at Posterous.
To kick off the day, Google and Virgin packed flights from San Francisco and Los Angeles this morning with executives, gamers, analysts, press, and others. The flights competed to win HP netbooks for every passenger on the flight with the higher score. Things didn’t go quite as smoothly as hoped, with many passengers having to wait 10 or 15 minutes to log in to the WiFi, and others not being able to get on at all.
ok, i'm not the type of person to go all nuts over a little bit of carbon burned for a little bit of fun.
But i wonder... is Google going to get a pass here because they are Google? I know people who did this competition... They flew from SFO to LAX, then turned right back around and came home.
I wonder what the carbon footprint was for this event. Someone call Al Gore.

dude this stuff is siiiick. Congrats to my friend Al for this awesome release of Remote.
Envious of your Pre toting pals and that Touchstone charging rig? Don't sweat it -- WildCharge is coming through in the clutch to bring similar wireless charging technology to Apple's own handset. Starting today, iPhone (3G and 3GS included) and iPod touch users can order up a WildCharge Skin along with a WildCharger Pad in order to bring wire-free charging to their smartphone. Just slap the skin on, plug the pad in and toss the handset down on said pad. Just like that, you've got fresh energy flowing without having to scour the house for that little AC adapter. The pain? $34.99 for the skin, or $79.99 for the skin and pad.
wow. if I was going to buy a case for my iPhone I would totally get this (I don't believe in cases)
I always forget to plug in my phone. what a pain!
But all that seems to have changed recently, as Posterous has launched a full scale attack of features, and has already inspired Steve Rubel to write about how the microblogging/lifestreaming approach has changed the way he blogs.
AT&T has even posted this video of iPhone 3G Ss being packaged at their distribution center:
I'm really excited about the 3GS tomorrow. But I don't want to stand in line for it! It's just a phone people! Get over it.
iPhone 3.0 is sweet. Typing speed is back to 1.0 levels. I challenge any BB user to type as fast as I can
Eight, freakin, hours. I couldn't believe it. In my lightest test, the new 15-inch MacBook Pro lasted eight hours and eight minutes. That's with the screen at half brightness (completely usable) and no funny optimizations. The notebook is just playing music and surfing through a lot of my old reviews. There's no way this could be right. Maybe my test was too light?
i'm sure you've all seen this by now. But just in case you haven't: the new Macbook Pro gets eight, freakin, hours.
I want one, bad.
